The early 1900 to the 1910s, called the Edwardian era, is a wonderful time period for children’s clothing. Visions of little girls in white lace dresses and pinafore aprons is accurate for many young ladies who scampered about the countryside like in Anne of Green Gables. Many other family books and movies were set in the Edwardian era: Mary Poppins, The Music Man, Tuck Everlasting. Disney often set musicals around the 1910s.
Historically the 1900s to 1910s was the time of the suffragette (Votes for Women!), sinking of the Titanic, and WW1. Both children’s clothing and adult clothing sized for children are needed for book reports and school projects, musical theater, and living history reenactments. We have found the following clothing and costumes ideal for the 1900s and 1910s era.
