80s Memphis shirts – button down shirts in bright abstract patterns worn open, over a T shirt or Henley shirt
Polo shirts– The preppy look made polo shirts in pink, pastel, and narrow stripes popular with all ages
T-shirt – 80s t shirts feature popular brands, trendy brands, beach/ vacay destinations, and plain bright primary or neon colors. Sleeveless T shirts and V neck T shirts were just as trendy as crew shirts. Ringer T shirts with contrasting trim were part of the athletic look.
Sweatshirts– lightweight sweatshirts were worn without another shirt. Funky geometric prints and cartoons were popular with teens.
Button down shirts in vertical stripes with and without collars (grandad style) were worn tucked into pleated pants
Rugby stripe polo shirts were a major trend in the 80s for men and teens.
Plaid flannel shirts were worn on their own or layered over T shirts, unbutton, and tucked into pants.
