From the late 1920s to the 1960s men’s summer sandals changed very little. The all leather T strap sandal with a covered toe has remained a classic even today. Often called Fisherman sandals, Greek sandals, Roman sandals, and Jesus sandals they are unmistakable vintage men’s sandals. The Huarache sandal shoes as well as the lace up Espadrille also came into style starting in the 1930s. Canvas sandals were worn at the beach for swimming and flip flops came in the late 1950s.
