It is next to impossible to find real vintage maternity clothes. As an alternative, some vintage reproduction and inspired new maternity clothes have a vintage style to them. The vintage maternity dress selection is limited in ready made but if you can sew there are some better options for authentic sewing patterns.
My personal choice was to look for new or modern maternity clothes that could double as vintage looks. Polka dot wrap dresses, carpi leggings, overalls, and stretchy shirts made dressing with a bump cute and fashionable. Read more advice about dressing in vintage style maternity clothes here.

Maternity Clothing Ideas
- The 1920s only needs a loose waist-less or drop waist dress
- For 1930s maternity clothes, choose a flutter sleeve dress with a wrap or side tie waist. Palazzo pants / jumpsuits for casual looks.
- 1940s maternity dresses favor a polka dot wrap dress.
- A stretchy knit swing dress for 1950s maternity fashion, or a circle skirt and blouse. Smock tops are adorable paired with stretch pants.
