Cute vintage, retro, and old fashioned aprons make cooking and craftmaking much more fun! We’ve found both apron sewing patterns and new vintage aprons for sale online inspired by designs of the Victorian, Edwardian, 1910s, 1920s, 1930s, 1940s, 1950s, and 1960s. Long white ruffled aprons were common in the time of Downton Abbey while shorter, looser styles emerged in the 1920s. The bib apron as we know it today took roots in the 1930s and 1940s, but it is the half apron of the 1950s that started the vintage and retro apron revival.
Bring out that Betty Homemaker in you. Retro aprons make great gifts too, and matching retro aprons make for great family photos ops. Have kids, grandma, and mom (and Dad too!) wear a matching apron and get all the generations together in the kitchen. It’s old fashioned apron fun and the joy of food — together!
We just added vintage apron sewing patterns too! Sew your own retro apron using scrap fabric just like they did in the old days.
