Men’s 1930s Glasses, Sunglasses
Men’s 1930s eyeglasses and sunglasses remained unchanged from the 1920s. Most frames were round with a center bridge in the early years and an upper bridge in the later years. Frames could be tortoiseshell, black plastic, or thin metal. The hexagon (6 sides) and octagon (8 sides) shaped lenses became trendy in the later years.
Also around 1937, the aviator sport sunglasses were the newest craze for summer sportswear.
More history coming soon.
