1930s skirts are hard to come by today. Even new 1930s style skirts can be tricky to find!
The defining characteristic of 30s skirts is the length. The early ’30s had skirts down to the ankle which gradually rose to below the knee over time. The vintage midi or tea length skirts are the most sought-after style. The general skirt shape was one of a long column with a slight flare at the hem. The 1930s skirt could also be pleated all around or A-line with a swing for movement. Plaids, beige, black, white, and blue were popular colors.
These new skirts will add plenty of 1930s style to your wardrobe. You can find 1930s skirt sewing patterns here, too. Add a 1930s blouse or sweater to complete your outfit.
