Edwardian men’s shirts are similar to today’s dress shirts with a few major exceptions. For example, shirt collars were detachable so they could easily be laundered or replaced. You won’t find these easily today, so a white collar shirt in either round collar, club collar, or classic wide point collar over a thin vertical striped shirt is ideal. Edwardian dress shirts could be all white or a light solid color as well. Work shirts were usually a dark blue heavy cotton. Formal shirts were button downs with wingtip collars.
