This past Saturday, I had a blast putting on the final touches to my Moulin Rouge inspired costume and partying it up at the Nevada Museum of Art’s Toulouse Lautrec Exhibition party. Over 300 people attended, most dressed up in costumes spanning the 19th century to 1920s. I was wowed by the creativity of some people who were able to make amazing costumes from modern day formal gowns. I wish I grabbed pictures of them to show you. We only managed to take a few pictures to show you how our costumes turned out:

The trial run of my costume. I made a quick bustle out of netting to poof out the skirt. I found the skirt while visiting Denver. Its by http://www.burleska.co.uk/ and I LOVE IT!

The most compliments on my costume were on my red glittery fake eyelashes that I found at Spirit Halloween. They were fun to wear and the final look was perfect! My hubby gets 5 stars for taking an amazing picture too.
I hope you had a fabulous weekend!
